Personal Bio

I live in a small town near Spokane, Washington, that we often refer to as Mayberry - with Aunt Bea just down the street and Barney Fife monitoring the number of chickens we are allowed to keep (that's 4 hens). It's a friendly community within walking distance to important places like the bakery.

I am a stay-at-home mom who enjoys the flexibility of being home with my family while doing what I love. I began sewing when I was twelve and discovered that making things with my hands out of fabric brought great satisfaction. After receiving a degree in fashion design and construction, I helped costume a local play and soon realized I didn't want to sew garments. People come in too many different shapes and sizes!

I eventually became fascinated with the freedom quilting offered and was then rescued from the dark side of sewing. The tactile appeal and array of colors and design provides a playground for my creativity and I enjoy the variety each quilt project provides.

I am a member of the Association of Pacific Northwest Quilters, and Fabrications Quilt Artists who inspire new and artistic ideas and challenge me to work outside my comfort zone.

My personal moments are spent biking, hiking, in-line skating, skiing, reading or baking & eating something with chocolate as the main ingredient.
